Thinking in terms of delight, not merely satisfaction.
Colour, shape, form, and material have intrigued me for as long as I can remember. Perhaps the most significant aspect of my practice is the understanding that regardless of the success of any design solution, there is always the potential for a better way of communicating ideas and doing things. That possibility is what keeps the work alive.
Experience suggests it pays to increase your Wonder Power.
The most interesting discoveries happen in the spaces — where art whispers to craft and design listens to both. I design like a scientist, craft like a poet, and question everything like a curious child with really good tools.
That instinct for connection — between disciplines, media, and experience — is what I bring to every brief. The more diverse the inputs, the more interesting the outcome.
The act of designing is never just about a finished product. It’s a continuing narrative — from the conceptual thinking that informs the vision, through playful exploration and experimentation, to the people it touches and the places it transforms.
Think. Play. Do. Not a slogan. A sequence.
With good experiences comes good relationships. Fostering these through engagement, honesty, and value is what my work is all about. I believe in relationships built on straight-forward principles, client service, and genuine kinship.
From initial creative to final production, everyone involved is passionate about what they do — and I think it shows.
I’m proud to work with individuals and suppliers who are influencing positive change — creating work that generates discussion, conveys important information, and celebrates the human capacity to envision and dream. I applaud all businesses that employ fair workplace policies and sound environmental practices as vehicles for sustainable growth and societal equity.
I acknowledge that I live and create on the traditional, unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
